I am a regular shopper at Dollar Tree in Philadelphia, PA at 1601 Market Street, which is located in the Suburban Station underground concourse.
At this time, because of the COVID-19 pandemic, Dollar Tree is the only business remaining open in the concourse. Suburban Station previously had many businesses open, serving area office workers, people in transit and customers like me who travel to center city to shop.
Because of the homeless situation in the concourse, the SEPTA Transit Police have not taken into consideration that Dollar Tree remains open. The entrances have been blocked and when I explained to the officers that I wanted to shop at Dollar Tree, I was told I could not access the store. I actually had to enter the subway station at 15th & Market, then exit at the other end in order to go into Dollar Tree.
Here's my question, can Dollar Tree management speak to the SEPTA Transit Police management, letting them know that customers are complaining about their unwillingness to let them access the store. Thank you.
